Thank you to everyone who supported our Tickets Fore Charity effort selling $1,520 in tickets for the Bridgestone Invitational, raising $1,140 for The Salvation Army in our first year of participation. A special thank you to our campaign chair, Mr. Jeff Price, for leading this effort!
Modern Day Miracles. We are not sure if we can find a better way to describe all we have seen this year at the Salvation Army of Summit County. Our country has faced some of the most difficult days it has seen in some time and we in Summit County have certainly not been immune to these difficulties. And yet, in the midst of them we have seen our community step up to help in unprecedented fashion. Donors and volunteers alike have taken on the challenge of reaching out to neighbors in need.
Lives have been changed in miraculous ways. Gentlemen once living in tents and under bridges have now taken up leadership within their community. Men and women once needing to be served daily by the outreach teams of The Salvation Army, are now serving others. Those once thought dead, have found new life. Their stores are inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.
As we look to the year ahead, there is much in our world to cause concern. However, here at The Army, we have seen too much to be dismayed. God is working in miraculous ways and we are grateful to be given the opportunity to come alongside Him in this work.
Thank you to all of you who have allowed God to work a miracle through you to these ends.
