This unit stands ready to serve the community during floods, fires and other emergencies or disasters. The Salvation Army also utilizes the canteen to serve meals in the neighborhoods of Trenton on a weekly rotating basis serving 300 plus individuals each time. It was thought that some folks may not have a substantial dinner available to prepare and would find themselves purchasing snack food for themselves and their children.
